Description: This revised CIIP Handbook provides an overview of critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP) policies in fourteen countries; It presents national approaches to CIIP and examines the methods and models used in the surveyed countries to analyze and evaluate critical information infrastructures. CIIP is by now recognized as an important part of a country's national security policy. The issue of CIIP first came to light at the end of the 1990s when the dependency of modern industrialized societies on information infrastructures first became apparent. Written with security policy analysts, researchers, and practitioners in mind, this book can be used either as a reference work of current CIIP methods and models or as a starting point for further, in-depth research.
